Yo, listen up, folks! You want a Rolex Submariner, huh? That shiny, fancy watch? The one without the date thingy? The black one? They call it the No-Date Black Submariner. Well, let me tell ya, it ain’t as easy as pickin’ berries from a bush!
These Rolex things, they’re real popular. Everybody and their dog wants one. So, gettin’ your hands on a real, brand spankin’ new one? You gotta go to them special jewelry stores, the ones that sell nothin’ but Rolex. That is where you can get a real Rolex. If you buy a real Rolex, it will work for five years for sure!
But, these high imitation Rolex watches, they look just like the real thing, almost. Some folks, they can’t tell the difference. And they cost way less. A real Rolex, that’s gonna cost ya an arm and a leg! But one of these look-alikes? Much cheaper!
Now, this here Submariner, this no-date one, it’s been around for a while. They first made it way back when, like, 70 years ago. Before my time! There were other dive watches, but this Rolex, it is one of the oldest.
This year, 2024, is some big anniversary for them Rolex Submariners. Seventy years, I heard! That’s a long time. Longer than I’ve been on this here earth. It is a big year for them!
If you are thinkin’ ’bout gettin’ one of these fake ones, you gotta be careful. There’s lots of ’em out there. Some are good, some are, well, not so good. You want one that looks real, right? Not some cheap piece of junk.
I heard some folks say eBay is a good place to look, but that is just what I heard, you know? They got all kinds of Rolex watches there, so they say. Like the Datejust and the Day-Date. But we’re talkin’ ’bout the Submariner, the black one, the one without the date.
There are lots of different kinds of Submariner. They say the 16610 is real famous. Then there’s the green one, the “Hulk”, they call it. Green! Can you imagine? I like the black one best. I just want a black one.
There are other watches that look like a Rolex. I heard them say Seiko makes a good one. I guess it looks like a Rolex but it is cheaper. But it ain’t a Rolex. I guess that is okay if you don’t have the money.
Now, they say these No-Date Submariners are special. Different from the others. I don’t know why, but that’s what them fancy folks say. They like ’em ’cause they’re simple, I guess. No date to worry ’bout. Just the time.

A real Rolex, that’s gonna set you back. Big money. I saw some prices, and let me tell you, it’s more than I make in a year! They got these “Oyster Perpetual” ones. One was almost $8,000! Another was over $5,000! Crazy, huh? I do not have that kind of money!
But these high imitation ones? You can find them. I see them online all the time. The price is much lower. Not thousands and thousands. Much, much lower. That is what I want.
Gettin’ a real one, you gotta wait, too. They say there’s a list. A waitlist! Can you believe it? You gotta put your name on a list and wait. Could be months, could be years! Who wants to wait that long for a watch? It might take a few months. It might take a few years. I do not want to wait that long!
There are other watches, too. They talk about this Omega Seamaster. I don’t know much about it. It is 42mm. I don’t know what that means. I do not know much about watches that are not Rolex.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a Rolex Submariner, the black one, the No-Date one, you got choices. You can try to get a real one, if you got the money and the patience. Or you can get a high imitation one. It is up to you to choose. You can choose what you want to do. It is your money!
Just be careful out there. Lots of folks tryin’ to sell you things. Make sure you know what you’re buyin’. That is the most important thing. You do not want to get ripped off. You want a good watch, even if it ain’t a real Rolex. You want a watch that works! You want a watch that looks good.
