Alright, so I’ve been eyeing this CopyOMEGA Ω Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph 45.5mm watch for a while now. It’s a beast, and I really wanted to add it to my collection. I started by checking out the Omega website, you know, just to see what’s what.
But, guess what? It said it was out of stock online and told me to contact a boutique. So, I thought, “Okay, let’s do that.” I reached out to them, but they emailed me back saying “Unfortunately.” Yeah, not what I wanted to hear.
So, I started digging around, like, really digging, to see what else I could find out about this watch. Turns out, there are a bunch of different versions. But the one that really caught my eye was the classic one. This thing, they call it the “CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Chronoscope,” and apparently, it has some history behind it. I also learned a bit about the movement, which is pretty cool.
- I started looking up different models. I came across this “OMEGA Speedmaster Racing Co-Axial Chronograph” thing, but it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for.
- Then I found this guide on the “CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary” watch. It’s a limited edition, which is neat, but not quite the one for me.
- Also stumbled upon some forum discussions about adding a half-link to the bracelet and some folks talking about the Planet Ocean models. Someone even mentioned they have a “Planet Ocean 600M co-axial 45.5mm steel on rubber” and that it looks pretty large.
What I Did Next
In the end, I found out more about this “Planet Ocean” model. This model has a titanium dial with a diving scale, a small seconds counter, and a date window, which is framed by a bezel. I am really into that and I think I finally got this one!
It has been a long journey for searching but I am so happy with what I got finally.
