Alright, so I saw this PRADA Arqué Re-Nylon and Brushed Leather Shoulder Bag online, and I thought, “I can make that!” It looked cool, and I figured, why not give it a shot? I mean, it’s just a bag, right? How hard could it be? So I decided to try and remake it. First, I needed to find the right materials. This was a bit of a challenge, but after some digging, I found some pretty decent Re-Nylon fabric and brushed leather that looked similar to the original.
Then came the tricky part – actually putting it together. I started by cutting out the shapes based on pictures I found online. I’m no expert, so it was a lot of trial and error. And let me tell you, cutting curves is not as easy as it looks! Especially when you’re working with both fabric and leather. The bag’s got this sleek, curved shape that’s kinda its signature. Getting that right was a real pain.
- First, I cut the Re-Nylon fabric into the main body pieces.
- Then, I cut the brushed leather for the sides and trim.
- Sewing the Re-Nylon was alright, but the leather was a bit tough. I had to be extra careful not to mess it up.
After a lot of fiddling around, I managed to sew the pieces together. It wasn’t perfect, but it started to resemble the bag. It took me way longer than I expected, though. This project was no walk in the park.
I also had to figure out how to attach the strap. The original bag has a leather shoulder strap, so I cut a strip of the brushed leather and sewed it on. It was a bit wonky at first, but I got it to work.
The Final Touches
Finally, after what felt like forever, I had something that looked somewhat like the PRADA bag. It wasn’t an exact replica, of course, but it had the same vibe. The hybrid design of Re-Nylon and brushed leather really gives it a unique look. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, considering it was my first attempt at making a bag like this. I spent hours on this, but it was worth it to see the final product. It’s definitely not original order quality, but hey, it’s my own version, and that’s pretty cool, right?
So, that’s the story of how I tried to remake the PRADA Arqué bag. It was a fun challenge, and I learned a lot along the way. Maybe I’ll try making another bag in the future, but for now, I’m just going to enjoy using this one. It’s not every day you get to carry around a bag you made yourself!
