So, I’ve been on the hunt for a vintage Fendi Spy bag for a while now. You know, the ones from like, 20 years ago? They’re super hard to find in good condition, and when you do, they’re usually crazy expensive.
Anyway, I finally decided to take the plunge and started scouring the internet.
First Attempts
- First I went to Poshmark, there are many different styles Fendi bags, but I want to find Spy bag, I browsed a Zucca interior Spy bag, the price is only $1, too cheap to be true.
- Then I went to eBay, There are some Fendi Spy bag, the price is about $400, but I’m not sure about authenticity.
- Then I checked out some online stores. I looked at the RealReal and some other places. They had some, but again, the prices were pretty steep.
Researching More
I found a guide online about Fendi bags, and it showed me all the different styles they have. They’ve got tons, from the Baguette to some limited edition ones I’ve never even heard of. It got me thinking, maybe I should be looking for a specific type of Spy bag?
I also read that vintage Fendi bags, especially the Spy, are really sought after, and that’s why they’re so expensive.
Finding the Perfect One
After a lot of searching, I finally found it! A vintage Fendi Spy bag in brown with gold hardware. It was on some consignment website. The seller said it was a medium-sized Nappa leather and in good condition, just some minor wear. The best part? It was listed at a price I could actually afford!
Buying and Waiting
I messaged the seller to ask a few more questions and make sure it was authentic. They sent me some extra pictures and even a copy of the original authenticity card. I felt pretty good about it, so I bought it!
Now, the waiting game. It took about a week for the bag to arrive. I was so nervous the whole time, hoping it would be as good as it looked online.
It’s Here!
Finally, the day came! The package arrived, and I ripped it open like a kid on Christmas morning. And there it was, my vintage Fendi Spy bag! It was even more beautiful in person. The leather was so soft, and the gold hardware was shiny. There were a few small scratches, but nothing major. It was perfect!
I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! It was definitely worth all the searching and waiting. Now I have a piece of fashion history that I can cherish for years to come.
