Hey everyone, today I want to share my little project of remaking the Patek Philippe Gondolo 7042/100G-010. This watch is a real beauty, and I wanted to see if I could recreate it with my own twist.

First, I started by gathering all the information I could find about this watch. I learned that it’s made of white gold. So, I decided to use stainless steel instead, to make it more affordable. I found that the original watch has a manual winding movement, which is pretty cool, but I opted for a simpler, more common movement for my version.

Next, I got to work on the design. The original Gondolo 7042/100G-010 has this classic, elegant look, and I really wanted to keep that vibe. I spent hours sketching and refining the design until I was happy with it. The case was the most challenging part. I wanted it to be sleek and stylish, just like the original. I ended up going through several prototypes before I got it just right.

Assembling the watch was the next big step. I carefully put together all the parts, making sure everything fit perfectly. It was a bit tricky, but I took my time and made sure each component was in its place. Seeing it all come together was so satisfying! I added some personal touches to the dial, giving it a unique look while still paying homage to the original design. I also wanted the watch to be durable, so I made sure all the materials were high quality, even though they weren’t as expensive as white gold.

Finally, after all the hard work, my version of the Patek Philippe Gondolo 7042/100G-010 was complete! It looks amazing, and I’m really proud of how it turned out. It’s not an exact replica, but it captures the spirit of the original while being something I can actually use and enjoy every day.

This project was a lot of fun, and I learned so much along the way. I hope you enjoyed hearing about my process. Let me know what you think in the comments!
