This year, that Prada, that foreign thing, is all the rage. You see everyone carrying it, all them young girls in the city, flashing it around. What’s it called? Galleria? Sounds fancy, don’t it? They say it’s some Saffiano leather. What’s that? Sounds like a made-up word. Is it cowhide? Or maybe pigskin? All I know is, it looks tough, like it can take a beating. Good for them city folks, always rushing about. They say it’s real leather, but treated special. Like it won’t get old and wrinkled. Ha! Wish I had some of that for my face!
My granddaughter, she’s got one. A little one, she calls it a Prada mini-bag. Paid a fortune for it, I bet. But she says it’s a good deal, that it will last her a long time. She even says it’s from Italy. That’s far, ain’t it? Must be why it’s so expensive. They say Italy is the cheapest place to get these Prada things. Cheapest! Can you believe it? Still costs an arm and a leg, I reckon.

It’s part of some “Re-Nylon” thing. Don’t know what that means, but it sounds tough. She says it’s a good investment. That it holds its value. 94% she said! Imagine that! They say this Prada lady, she’s been doing this for 40 years. Making these fancy things. Innovation, they call it. Sounds like a lot of hard work to me. But she must be doing something right. Everyone wants her bags.
