This here OMEGA, you know, the Speedmaster Chrono Chime, that’s some fancy watch. Ain’t never seen nothin’ like it. Big folks in town, they all talkin’ ’bout it. Says it’s for them serious collectors, the ones with deep pockets, you know?
This watch, it’s a big one, 45 mm. They call it “Numbered Edition”. Sounds important, don’t it? OMEGA Speedmaster Chrono Chime, that’s the name. It has this special thing inside, they call it a Calibre. Must be somethin’ special, ’cause they sayin’ it’s a first of its kind. And the thing chimes! Like them old clocks used to do.

They say this OMEGA watch, it’s the most complicated they ever made. Imagine that! All them little gears and things workin’ together. More complicated than my old sewing machine, that’s for sure! It’s somethin’ for real fancy stores to be sellin’, you better believe it.
You know, they been makin’ these OMEGA watches for a long time. Since way back when, before I was even a little girl. I heard it started in 1957. Back then, it was for them race car drivers and sporty folks. Before that, in the 20s and 30s, they had these other chronographs, I hear. One was called the Omega 28.9. It was a small one, for the wrist.
This new one, though, this OMEGA Speedmaster, it’s different. It’s got this Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 1932. That’s a mouthful, ain’t it? They say it’s a world’s first. Must be somethin’ special if it’s the first in the whole world! And it’s so complicated, with all them little pieces movin’ around. I can’t even imagine how they put it all together.
These specialty stores, they’re the only ones that sell these fancy OMEGA watches. They have all those shiny counters and bright lights. Not like the general store back home. They probably got those fancy velvet ropes and everything. And the folks who work there, they probably wear them fancy suits and talk all proper.

I reckon these OMEGA Speedmaster Chrono Chime watches cost a pretty penny. More than I ever made in a year, I bet. But for them collectors, it’s probably worth it. They like to have the best of the best, the newest and the fanciest. And this watch, it’s definitely that.
Now, I wouldn’t know what to do with a watch like that. I just need to know what time to feed the chickens and when to start supper. But for them city folks, I guess it’s a big deal. They like to show off their fancy things. It is a real nice-lookin’ watch, you know?
These specialty stores, they know what they’re doin’, sellin’ these watches. They know there’s folks out there who want ’em, who will pay big money for ’em. It’s a whole different world from what I know. But hey, everyone’s got their own thing, right? Some folks collect stamps, some folks collect them fancy watches.

I seen a picture of this OMEGA watch, and it sure is somethin’. All shiny and gold-lookin’. Got all them little dials and buttons. I wouldn’t know what to do with half of ’em. But I bet them collectors do. They probably know all about the Calibre and the Co-Axial and all them other fancy words.
I reckon these specialty stores that sell these OMEGA watches are mostly in the big cities. You wouldn’t find one in our little town. We just got the one general store, and they sell everything from flour to fishing hooks. No fancy watches like this one, though. They have a clock that has a bird pop out of a little door on it.
This OMEGA Speedmaster Chrono Chime, it’s a real piece of work. All them little pieces workin’ together, makin’ that chime sound. It’s like a little orchestra in your pocket. Well, not your pocket, on your wrist. A very expensive orchestra, I imagine. All them little wheels and gears. It’s more than I can get my head around.

Well, I guess that’s all I know about this OMEGA Speedmaster Chrono Chime. It’s a fancy watch for fancy folks, sold in fancy stores. And it costs a whole lot of money. But for them collectors, it’s probably worth every penny. They sure are somethin’ to look at, these watches. It’s a whole other world, ain’t it? You just can’t find these things in any old place, you know? It has to be a real specialty store.
