Alright, so I’ve been wanting to remake this PRADA Arqué Leather Mini Shoulder Bag I saw online. It’s from their Spring/Summer 2025 collection, and it looked so chic. I thought, “Why not give it a try?” So, I started by gathering all the materials I’d need.

First, I went and found some good quality leather that matched the color of the bag I saw on the Prada website. I made sure it was soft but durable enough to hold its shape. Then, I sketched out the design, taking notes of all the dimensions and details from the pictures I found online. It was a bit tricky, but I managed to get a pretty good blueprint.

Next, I started cutting the leather. I used my trusty rotary cutter and a metal ruler to make sure all the edges were straight. I cut out the main body, the sides, and the strap. This part took a while because I wanted to make sure everything was perfect. No room for errors!

  • Cut main body pieces
  • Cut side panels
  • Cut the shoulder strap
  • Prepare lining material

After cutting, I started assembling the bag. I used a heavy-duty sewing machine with a leather needle. Sewing leather can be tough, but with some patience, I managed to stitch all the parts together. I started with the main body, then added the sides. The most satisfying part was when I turned it inside out, and it actually looked like a bag!

Attaching the Hardware

The original bag had some shiny hardware, so I found similar buckles and rings online. Attaching them was a bit of a challenge. I used a leather punch to make holes and then carefully secured the hardware with rivets. It took some muscle, but I got it done. The bag was really starting to come together.

Lastly, I worked on the finishing touches. I added a lining to the inside of the bag to make it look neat and professional. I also added a small pocket inside for extra storage. Finally, I conditioned the leather to give it a nice finish and protect it from wear and tear.

And there you have it! My very own handmade PRADA Arqué Leather Mini Shoulder Bag. It’s not exactly like the one on the Prada website, but I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. It was a fun project, and I learned a lot along the way. Plus, now I have a stylish new bag to show off!
